The sardine workshop
The pearl of the gods offers in the sardine workshop, located 22km from the campsite, to make you discover the sardine through a museum, an art gallery and a shop. More than a brand, the pearl of the gods and its canning is part of the cultural heritage of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.
The museum
While visiting the workshop you will have the opportunity to discover the history of sardine fishing Saint Gilles Croix de Vie from the 17th century to the present day and the evolution of the canning over the years. Testimonies of sailors and sardine boats (workers of the cannery) are present to testify traditional know-how. Videos, boat reproductions in the form of a model, anecdotes, hidden info are present in the museum so that you become incollables on the sardine.
The art gallery
Come and discover the art gallery of the pearl of the gods that presents artistic works that are present on the vintage products of the brand. Temporary exhibitions are present on the site and composed of different types of art such as sculpture, painting, photography …
The shop
In the workshop is the shop, you will find a wide range of sardines and the aperitif range of the pearl of the gods.
