Campsite access
Campsite Les Charmes is easily accessible, whether you come by car, train or bike. Situated in the heart of the Vendée, between Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, Challans and Aizenay, you’ll find several roads leading to our site.
By car:
Access to the Campsite in the Vendée is via departmental roads 948 and D94. Depending on your point of departure, here are the directions:
- From Aizenay: follow Challans, then after the wind turbines, head for Commequiers. Drive 3.5 km and turn left.
- From Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie: head for Coëx, then Apremont. On the route de Challans, before leaving Apremont, turn right at the bend.
- From Challans: head towards La Roche-sur-Yon, just before the wind turbines, in the direction of Commequiers. Drive 3.5 km and turn left. The Campsite is 500 m on the right.

By train:
You can arrive by train at either Challans or La Roche-sur-Yon, both of which are well served and close to the Campsite.
Arrival at Challans (20 km from Campsite):
The Challans train station is on the line between Nantes and the Vendée coast. Once at the station, you can rent a car from one of the following agencies:
- Europcar: 4.5 km from the station (located at Europcar Challans, 44 Rue de la République)
- Hertz: 1.5 km from the station (located at Hertz Challans, 12 Rue de la Motte)
Arrival at La Roche-sur-Yon (30 km from Campsite):
La Roche-sur-Yon station is another possible arrival point. It is linked by train to several major cities, including Nantes and Paris. From this station, you can rent a car from the following agencies:
- Europcar: 3.5 km from the station (located at Europcar La Roche-sur-Yon, 22 Rue des Acacias)
- Avis: 2.5 km from the train station (located at Avis La Roche-sur-Yon, 18 Rue de la République)
Public transport:
Please note that there is no public transport directly to the Campsite. It is therefore necessary to arrive by car or bicycle, or to rent a car at the Challans or La Roche-sur-Yon train station to reach the Campsite.
By bike:
The Campsite is also accessible via a shared bike path. If you like cycling, you can easily reach us by consulting the Vendée cycle path map. As the terrain around the Campsite is a little hilly, it offers an ideal setting for a well-earned break before continuing your adventure.
